How do the AI perfume notes work?
Perfume notes and composition summaries are generated on-device — by Apple Intelligence on iPhone and Gemini Nano on Android — running entirely on your phone. Nothing is sent to a server, and no account is required. On devices that do not support on-device intelligence, these refinements are simply absent — the rest of the atelier behaves exactly as before.
Why is my scanner not generating perfume notes?
The scanner reads ingredient labels and PAO markers; perfume notes are a separate, generated refinement. Notes appear only for fragrances, and only on devices that support on-device intelligence (Apple Intelligence on iPhone, Gemini Nano on Android). If a fragrance shows no notes, confirm it is catalogued under Fragrance and that on-device intelligence is available and enabled in your device settings.
How do I restore my Atelier Patron unlock on a new device?
Open Preferences and select Already a patron — restore. Your one-time purchase is tied to your store account, so signing in with the same account restores Patron at no further cost — your Apple ID on iPhone, or your Google account on Android. Be sure you are signed in with the account used for the original purchase.
Can I export my cabinet?
Yes. Your cabinet belongs to you. From Preferences you may export the full catalogue — products, dates unsealed, valuations, and notes — to a portable file you can keep or carry elsewhere. We hold no copy.
Why does the app ask for camera access?
The camera is used solely to read ingredient labels and barcodes, and only while the scanner is open. Images are processed on device and never stored or transmitted. Decline the request and the atelier remains fully usable — you simply add formulations by hand.
